Digital Poster Making Competition - Science

The illustration depicts a group of scientists intensely studying a large virus particle, likely representing COVID - 19. The scientists, dressed in lab coats, are seen holding various scientific tools such as test tubes and microscopes, indicating their research efforts. Surrounding the virus are scattered capsules and Petri dishes, symbols of medical research and pharmaceutical development. This image captures the essence of the global scientific community's united front against the virus, highlighting the tireless work done to understand, combat, and ultimately overcome the threat posed by the virus.

This poster illustrates a battle between technology and modern science, like vaccines and medicine; and the diseases, which is shown mostly as pathogens and viruses. In a more detailed way, I added elements like DNA and different kinds of commonly found diseases on the poster.I used a set of contrasting colors of red and green to emphasize the  conflicts between the technology and diseases. Originally, I’m planning to add a doctor’s hand on the left and a hand of a demon on the right, but I finally decided to give up on that element since it will take up a lot of space and it will let the audience’s attention move to the wrong position. Making this poster helps me to get a better understanding on the concept of how our technology defenses disease throughout the human history.

This poster emphasizes the powerful role of science in combating diseases. It indicates that scientific research, innovation and knowledge are the key means for understanding, preventing or treating diseases. The painting part of the poster consists of a virus and a syringe, with some DNA patterns beside it. I designed the background as black to better highlight the main body of my poster. The colors, using blue  purple and pink, are more likely to attract the audience's attention. The overall tone is inspiring and educational, encouraging the audience to believe that science is a powerful force for maintaining health.
